On 15 September 2022, SCO Secretary-General Zhang Ming met with President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov on the sidelines of the SCO Heads of State Council Meeting. They discussed current interaction issues and the development of long-term and diverse cooperation between the SCO and Turkmenistan. They also reviewed opportunities for launching energy, transport and business cooperation.
