On 14 September, SCO Secretary-General Zhang Ming and UNESCO Head of Office and UNESCO Representative to Uzbekistan Sara Noshadi signed a memorandum of understanding and cooperation between the SCO Secretariat and the UNESCO Secretariat (2023-2027).
The event highlights the fact that specialised UN agencies and regional organisations are focusing on SCO activities.
The memorandum aims to further expand relations of mutually beneficial cooperation between the SCO and UNESCO in education, science, culture, sport, communications and information.
