On 27 May, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov received SCO Secretary-General Zhang Ming.
During the meeting, the SCO Secretary-General described the work carried out by the SCO Secretariat this year in the context of the preparations for major events and documents. He underlined that the SCO activities aim at developing cooperation among the SCO member states in the political, trade, economic and humanitarian areas.
President Japarov acknowledged the Organisation's role in the international arena and expressed his hope that multifaceted interaction among SCO member states would continue in promoting peace, security and stability in the region.
