On 20 May 2022, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism and Cultural Heritage of the Republic of Uzbekistan Aziz Abduhakimov received SCO Secretary-General Zhang Ming as part of his participation in the Meeting of Sports Ministers of the SCO Member States in Tashkent.
They exchanged opinions on expanding cultural contacts in the SCO region and discussed efforts to help boost the tourism potential of the SCO member states.
Zhang Ming and Aziz Abduhakimov discussed the results of the Meeting of Tourism Ministers of the SCO Member States and the SCO Tourism Forum, held in Tashkent on 19-20 May, as well as the implementation of agreements reached at the ministerial meeting.
