On 17-18 March 2022, Uzbekistan initiated and chaired the first videoconference of SCO experts on cooperation in the area of plant quarantine.
The experts exchanged views regarding prospects for SCO plant quarantine cooperation. They agreed that it would be useful to establish a permanent mechanism for collaboration on this track in the shape of a conference of SCO ministers and agency heads in charge of plant quarantine and a related expert group.
