On 21 January 2022, SCO Secretary-General Zhang Ming had a meeting with Kanaiym Baktygulova, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the People's Republic of China.
During the meeting, the Secretary-General said the SCO Secretariat will strive to promote inclusive cooperation for stability and prosperity across the SCO space based on the principles of equality, mutual understanding and respect for the cultural diversity of all SCO member states.
Ms Baktygulova said that Kyrgyzstan's Embassy in the People's Republic of China stands ready to contribute to the SCO Secretariat's activities in every possible way to implement plans to promote multifaceted cooperation within the SCO as approved by the SCO leaders and heads of government.
The two officials discussed matters related to developing the existing cooperation mechanisms within the SCO for stronger neighbourly relations, mutual understanding and constructive partnership.
