On 6 September, 2021, the National Museum of Tajikistan was the venue of the vernissage of "Welcome to the 20th anniversary of the SCO." The exhibition has works of art done by young people from SCO countries on display. At the event were representatives of a wide range of organisations, including the heads of diplomatic missions accredited to Tajikistan.
The exhibition was organised according to a plan drawn up for the main events of Tajikistan's SCO Chairmanship at the initiative of the National Commission on UNESCO Affairs at the Foreign Ministry of Tajikistan in cooperation with the SCO Secretariat, Chinese companies Shanghai Art Fair International Exhibition Co., Ltd and Yunnan SCO Culture and Sports Co. and the Union of Artists of Tajikistan.
On display are over 200 paintings created by children from various SCO countries. The theme is peace, friendship, mutual respect and goodwill. The exhibition will be on from 6 September to 15 September.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan Sharaf Sheralizoda spoke at the opening of the event. He congratulated all those present on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the country's independence and also thanked all the SCO countries for their active participation in helping to organise the celebrations.
