SCO Secretary-General Vladimir Norov sent a message to Batmunkh Battsetseg to congratulate her on her appointment as Minister for Foreign Affairs of Mongolia.
In his message the Secretary-General underscored that Mongolia is confidently building up its internal potential and defending its positions in the international arena.
Vladimir Norov expressed his hope for fruitful cooperation and further work in implementing the adopted roadmap on the development of cooperation between the SCO Secretariat and the Organisation's observers and dialogue partners.
"I hope you will devote close attention to the SCO's activities and will raise the level of Mongolia's involvement in our Organisation in all areas of mutual interest in the year of its 20th anniversary," the Secretary-General stated in his message.
Mongolia was granted the SCO observer status in 2004.
