On 10 January the SCO Observer Mission on holding early presidential elections and a referendum to determine the form of the government in Kyrgyzstan visited Polling Station No. 9040 situated at Kyrgyzstan's Embassy in China.
The observers were given an outline by the people working at the polling station about how the Kyrgyz citizens registered at this station voted. According to the polling station chairman E. Zhaichybekov despite the restrictions imposed due to the COVID-19 pandemic the turnout is high.
The voting is being conducted using automatic scanning ballot boxes and the relevant sanitary and epidemiologic safety standards are being taken into consideration.
The mission has not received any complaints or comments from the electoral workers or the observers during the voting proccess.
The mission members stated that the early presidential elections and the referendum at the polling station in Kyrgyzstan's Embassy in the CPR are being held transparently.
