At the initiative of Indian side the SCO Startup Forum will be launched on 27th October 2020 ahead of the Meeting of Ministers of the SCO member states responsible for foreign economic and trade activities.
Startups and entrepreneurs from SCO Member States will be participating in this digital event, showcasing their startup ideas and pitching to a panel of renowned investors and corporates. The Startup Forum will also witness parallel tracks in which all Member Countries will talk about their initiatives to promote startups!
The event will feature speeches by SCO Secretary General Mr. Vladimir Norov, Minister of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of India, Mr. Piyush Goyal as well as panel discussions by representatives of government agencies, startups and experts.

A preparatory Seminar in this regard was held on August 11, 2020 which received tremendous response and support from all the Member States and partners of SCO during which experts discussed the joint promotion of startup projects within the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation, reviewed the development of the startup industry and the creation of business incubators in the SCO member states.
