Jean-Yves Le Drian, Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs of the French Republic, sent a letter to SCO Secretary-General Vladimir Norov.
The French Minister thanked the SCO Secretary-General for supporting his country and showing solidarity with it.
Jean-Yves Le Drian noted that the coronavirus pandemic highlighted the need to coordinate the efforts of all states involved in fighting the infection.
According to the French foreign minister, the international community should step up efforts to elaborate collective, coordinated and multilateral emergency response measures to deal with healthcare crises and to overcome their negative economic consequences.
