SCO Secretary-General Vladimir Norov has received a response message from Secretary-General of the European External Action Service Helga Schmid.
She supported the opinion of all SCO member states that the coronavirus is a global challenge, it does not understand borders and requires prompt, resolute and coordinated response from the global community.
The EEAS Secretary-General also emphasised the importance of cooperation and coordination between various member states of the EU and their assistance to China during the difficult times. "We are also grateful for the respective international support we have received during difficult time", she noted.
In conclusion, Helga Schmid informed Mr Norov about the launch of the Team Europe initiative that unites the resources of the EU, its member states and financial institutes to support partner countries and people all over the world who suffered from combatting the coronavirus pandemic.
