On May, 12 the SCO Secretariat has released a congratulatory video on International Nurse Day, in which the SCO Secretary-General Vladimir Norov and the personnel of the Secretariat expressed their deep gratitude to doctors and medical personnel for their great work and dedication.
International Nursing Day is celebrated annually on May, 12 under the patronage of the International Council of Nurses.
The idea of celebrating Nurses Day was first suggested in 1953, but the International Nursing Day has been celebrated since 1965. In 1974, Nurses of Charity from 141 countries gathered on the Council and established their own professional holiday.
