The Chinese authorities are doing their utmost to try and normalise the epidemiological situation caused by the coronavirus outbreak, State Duma Deputy and Chairman of the SCO Youth Council Denis Kravchenko said.
"China is implementing all the necessary measures in order to assist the population. It became possible to establish the pathogen that provoked the mass infections over an unprecedentedly short period of time, a number of major cities have been quarantined, and military personnel and volunteers are assisting medical specialists.
"The measures taken by our Chinese friends show their responsible attitude towards the health and safety of the Chinese nation, as well as the populations of other countries too. The WHO and the entire international community have praised these efforts. Most importantly, China is open for international cooperation in combating the coronavirus," the Chairman of the SCO Youth Council pointed out.
"On behalf of the SCO Youth Council and myself, I would like to express my sympathy to the entire friendly nation of the People's Republic of China in connection with coronavirus fatalities. I am confident that the virus will be overcome in the near future through joint efforts," Kravchenko said in conclusion.
