On 14 January 2020, SCO Secretary-General Vladimir Norov, who is visiting India, held consultations with Indian National Coordinator for the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Yojna Patel.
The agenda of the talks at the Indian Foreign Ministry focused on India's presidency of the SCO Heads of Government Council, preparations for the council meeting to be held in India in the autumn of 2020 and other events preceding the council meeting, including the gatherings of the SCO states' ministers in charge of foreign trade and economic cooperation, as well as the first meeting of the Consortium of SCO Economic Analysis Centres.
The officials exchanged views on the topics discussed at these events and the documents that are scheduled to be submitted to the SCO Heads of Government Council meeting.
The SCO Secretary-General pointed out that the SCO Secretariat was ready to provide all-round assistance to the Indian side to prepare the upcoming events.
The sides agreed to continue consultations at the level of the SCO agencies involved, including the SCO Council of National Coordinators.
