The main event was comprised of three discussion panel meetings, after which the audience had the possibility to ask questions.
The first panel meeting was devoted to Doing an E-Commerce Puzzle: Logistics and Customs, Challenges and Possibilities. The participants shared their knowledge and working experience regarding international logistics and suggested using new technologies to improve communications and efficient cooperation, and also exchanged views on the further development of e-commerce in the SCO region.
Those participating in the second panel meeting discussed the use of traditional and new financial instruments in the era of digital economy. The speakers noted that against the backdrop of a rapidly changing economy, it is necessary to improve interaction between countries and only joint efforts will help reach common wellbeing.
The third meeting, The Development of Startups in E-Commerce: Young Entrepreneurs' Stories of Success and Failures, featured remarks delivered by talented young people who spoke to the audience about their activities and what prospects e-commerce can bring to the younger generations in the SCO countries.
After each discussion, the participants could ask questions and learn more about the development prospects for e-commerce in the SCO region.
In his concluding remarks, SCO Secretary-General Vladimir Norov thanked those present and expressed hope that in the future, more young people will take part in the economic development of their countries and the SCO region through an expansion of e-trade in the SCO space.
At the close of the event, representatives of the SCOLAR youth platform presented the SCO Secretariat with a sculptural composition titled, I LOVE SCO. Co-founder of the SCOLAR Network Olim Alimov thanked the Secretariat and the Secretary-General for their assistance and cooperation, and said that the SCO Secretariat is our shared home where everyone can feel the ‘Shanghai Spirit."
