International observers from the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation began their mission with the laying flowers at the obelisk Hero City of Minsk and remembered the soldiers with a minute's silence.
The Hero City of Minsk architectural and sculptural complex was unveiled on 8 May 1985 to mark the 40th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
