On 31 July 2019, SCO Secretary-General Vladimir Norov had a meeting with Ms Naghmana A. Hashmi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to the People's Republic of China.
The SCO Secretary-General congratulated Ms. Naghmana A. Hashmi on becoming the Ambassador of Pakistan to China and wished her every success in this high-ranking position.
During their conversation, both sides conducted a constructive discussion devoted to long-term efforts to expand and strengthen diverse intra-SCO cooperation.
Mr Norov informed the high-placed diplomat on the results of the June 2019 SCO summit which took place in Bishkek and the events that are scheduled to be held during Russia's Presidency of the SCO in 2019-2020.
They exchanged opinions on the main subjects of the SCO agenda and the preparations for the upcoming SCO events in the second half of 2019, including the SCO Heads of Government Council meeting in the autumn.
The event took place in a friendly and cordial atmosphere.
