On 22-25 January 2019, the SCO Council of National Coordinators (CNC) met at the SCO Secretariat.
SCO Secretary-General Vladimir Norov and Director of the Executive Committee of the SCO Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure (RATS) Jumahon Giyosov opened the event with a welcome address.
In his speech, Vladimir Norov stressed that he would do everything in his power to enhance the further development of the SCO, defend the interests of all member states and implement agreements and adopted conceptual documents.
During the event, issues related to the preparation of the SCO Summit in Bishkek and the meeting of the SCO Heads of Government Council in Tashkent were discussed, as well as other activities planned as part of the Kyrgyz Republic's SCO Presidency.
The meeting participants exchanged views on the draft agenda and documents proposed to be submitted for consideration by the SCO Heads of Government Council, as well as on other issues related to the Organisation's current activities.
The delegations of the member states took part in the gala reception on the occasion of SCO Secretary-General Vladimir Norov assuming office.
The CNC coordinates the current activities of the Organisation and ensures interaction of the relevant ministries and departments of the SCO member states.
The Kyrgyz Republic presides over the SCO in 2018-2019.
