On 21 January 2019, SCO Secretary-General Vladimir Norov met at the SCO Secretariat in Beijing with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to the People's Republic of China Masood Khalid.
The officials exchanged views on cooperation and future interaction within the framework of the SCO, emphasising preparations for the main event of the year: the SCO summit in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.
They held an in-depth discussion on the need to combine efforts to strengthen cooperation among the SCO states in the economy, trade, transport and tourism.
The Pakistani Ambassador wished the SCO Secretary-General every success and fruitful work in his new capacity.
The meeting was held in a friendly atmosphere typical for the SCO.
