On 21 December 2018, SCO Secretary-General Rashid Alimov received India's Charge D'Affaires ad Interim to the People's Republic of China Dr Acquino Vimal.
During their talks, Mr Alimov and Mr Vimal discussed topical matters concerning the current SCO agenda. They also exchanged opinions on promising aspects of diverse cooperation within the SCO.
Mr Vimal noted the SCO Secretariat's contribution to the Organisation's sustained development and to strengthening friendship and cooperation between SCO member states. On behalf of the Indian side, the diplomat thanked the SCO Secretary-General for the close and fruitful cooperation.
Mr Alimov pointed out the significance of strengthening the Shanghai Spirit and the well-coordinated joint work of the eight SCO member states, as well as the constructive contribution of the Indian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Indian Embassy in the PRC to implementing joint initiatives.
The meeting took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
