SCO Secretary-General receives Director of Russian Foreign Ministry’s Asian and Pacific Cooperation Department Alexei Ovchinnikov

On 20 December 2018, SCO Secretary-General Rashid Alimov received Director of the Russian Foreign Ministry's Asian and Pacific Cooperation Department Alexei Ovchinnikov at the SCO Secretariat in Beijing.

During their conversation, Mr Alimov and Mr Ovchinnikov discussed topical issues on the SCO agenda, including in the context of the main results of the Organisation's performance in 2018, as well as promising plans for expanding diverse intra-SCO cooperation.

Mr Ovchinnikov noted the Organisation's achievements over the past few years in attaining goals and accomplishing tasks to strengthen friendship, neighbourliness and cooperation between SCO member states.

The SCO Secretary-General thanked the Russian Foreign Ministry and the Asian and Pacific Cooperation Department for closely cooperating with the SCO Secretariat, for fruitful joint work and invariable support.

The conversation took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
