On 2 November 2018, SCO Secretary-General Rashid Alimov met with students and staff at the Tashkent State Institute of Oriental Studies.
There was considerable interest in the meeting with the SCO Secretary-General, with over 200 students and their teachers taking part. The engaging discussion focused on the SCO's place and role in contemporary international relations. Secretary-General Alimov also fielded numerous questions from the audience.
