Ahead of the meeting of the SCO Heads of Government Council to be held in Dushanbe on 11 October 2018, SCO Secretary-General Rashid Alimov met with Foreign Minister of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Muhriddin.
The conversation included a detailed discussion of the issues related to organising and preparing for the 17th meeting of the SCO Heads of Government Council.
The parties also discussed key issues of multifaceted cooperation as part of the SCO.
The meeting participants exchanged opinions on the current regional agenda.
The Foreign Minister noted the work of the SCO Secretariat and expressed gratitude for the contribution to strengthening and boosting cooperation within the SCO.
The Secretary-General commended the high level of preparedness for the meeting of the SCO Heads of Government Council and coordinated activities of all the relevant ministries and agencies of the Republic of Tajikistan. He thanked the Minister for continuing to focus on SCO affairs.
The meeting took place in a friendly atmosphere.
