On the morning of September 19, 2018, the participants of the Third SCO Youth Campus visited the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Headquarters in Beijing.
Eighteen young culture and arts workers from China, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Pakistan, Belarus, Armenia and Nepal were received by Deputy Secretary General of the SCO Aziz Nosirov who talked to the guests about the history of the SCO, its development and expanding activity in all areas of cooperation between the member countries.
The young visitors enjoyed a guided tour of the SCO Secretariat complex. They were particularly impressed by the grand SCO Charter Marble Hall, the unique rooms bearing the names of the SCO member states' capitals, the Coat of Arms Hall decorated with Florentine mosaics, the SCO library, and the unique picture gallery.
Their visit to the SCO Secretariat left an unforgettable impression.
Open Days at the SCO Secretariat, a cycle of events launched in 2016, are held as part of the SCO Our Common Home programme. Schoolchildren and students from the SCO member states regularly visit the SCO Headquarters.
The Third SCO Youth Campus is a series of events for young workers in creative design and artists from the "SCO family," which takes place from September 16 to 26 in Beijing, Shanghai and Hangzhou (China). It is a joint project of China's Ministry of Culture and Tourism with the Zhongguo Duiwai Wenhua group of companies. The event's logo is: Feeling, Perception, Reciprocity; its main goal is getting to know and understand China through intangible cultural heritage, creative seminars, workshops and educational tours. The SCO Youth Campus provides participants with a platform for sharing experiences, creative ideas and expanding knowledge about the countries in the "SCO family."
