On 5 September 2018, SCO Secretary General Rashid Alimov had a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the People's Republic of China Turki Mohammed Al-Madi.
Responding to the Saudi Arabian Ambassador's request, Mr Alimov discussed the main results of the SCO's Qingdao summit, the Organisation's long-term activities and key cooperation venues in line with the current SCO mechanisms.
The Ambassador of Saudi Arabia noted that the Kingdom positively assessed the successful SCO summit in Qingdao, as well as the Organisation's role in maintaining peace, stability and security in the region, as well as its sustained development.
After the conversation, both sides exchanged opinions on matters of mutual interest.
The meeting took place in a friendly and warm-hearted manner.
