On 13 July 2018, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov had a meeting with SCO Secretary-General Rashid Alimov at the ministry's Reception House to discuss current matters on the SCO agenda, primarily in the context of the implementation of the agreements reached by the heads of the SCO member states at their summit in Qingdao, China, on 9 and 10 June 2018.
Sergey Lavrov said he appreciated Rashid Alimov's contribution to strengthening cooperation within the SCO and thanked him for the extensive work he is doing as SCO Secretary-General.
Acknowledging Rashid Alimov's active and fruitful efforts to promote the development of the SCO and strengthen friendship and mutual understanding between the SCO member states, Sergey Lavrov presented him with a Foreign Ministry Badge For Contribution to International Cooperation.
The meeting was held in a cordial and friendly manner.
