On 3 July 2018, Secretary-General Rashid Alimov had a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Finland to the People's Republic of China, Mr Jarno Syrjälä, at the SCO Headquarters in Beijing.
At the request of the Finnish diplomat, the SCO Secretary-General described the results of the Qingdao Summit held on 9-10 June 2018 and the organisation's future plans, as well as the key areas of versatile multilateral cooperation within the SCO.
The Finnish Ambassador highly appreciated the success of the recent SCO summit held in Qingdao, as well as the SCO's activities, noting the organisation's special contribution to the development of multilateral cooperation.
The conversation was conducted in a constructive manner.
