The polling stations in the Central and Northwestern federal districts closed at 8 pm Moscow time and the SCO Observer Mission finished monitoring the Russian presidential election.
Observers who worked in St Petersburg, Moscow, the Leningrad, Moscow, Vladimir, Tula and Ryazan regions, the Republic of Tatarstan and the Republic of Adygea and the Krasnodar Territory are sending information to the Observer Mission headquarters in Moscow.
The headquarters is hosting a closed meeting of the SCO observers chaired by the SCO Secretary-General to summarise and analyse the received data and the information on the results of the observers' work in the Russian regions. Following the meeting, the Mission will prepare an official statement which will be presented at 11.30 am Moscow time on 19 March 2018 at the TASS press centre in Moscow.
