On 13 March 2018, in the afternoon, the SCO headquarters in Beijing welcomed high schools students, who are enrolled in Russia's Embassy in China school.
There is increasing interest in the SCO's activities, including among young people. The SCO Model, 21st Century Leaders and other events with the participation of school and university students from SCO member states have become a regular occurrence. The SCO Youth League, supported by the Secretariat, is also highly active.
The SCO young generation representatives' visit to the headquarters provided them with an excellent opportunity to observe the activities of diplomats working at the SCO Secretariat. It is especially significant now, during the preparations for the most important event of the organisation's year: the SCO Summit in Qingdao (China). It is salient that most students will very soon become participants in The SCO Model interactive cognitive game, which is planned for 27 April 2018 at the SCO Headquarters. The visit to the headquarters will help them feel "the Shanghai spirit" and provide them with answers to their questions during conversations with diplomats.
The first SCO Model interactive game was held at the SCO Headquarters in Beijing on 22 April 2016. The main players were high school students from the SCO member states who are enrolled in the general secondary school of the Russian Federation Embassy in the People's Republic of China.
