On 14 September 2017, SCO Secretary-General Rashid Alimov met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Qatar to China Sultan Salmeen Saeed al-Mansouri at his request.
The parties exchanged opinions on matters of mutual interest.
The Qatari Ambassador spoke highly of the SCO's efforts on the international stage and its contribution to regional security and the progressive development of the SCO member states.
The meeting was held in a friendly and warm atmosphere.
